Professional Practitioner Studies, Year One

Living the Principles

Certificated by United Centers for Spiriutal Living/United Church of Religious Science

The 30 weeks are divided into 3 10-week terms.

Tuition and Materials for Year One

Tuition for the full year-long, 90 hour course is $750. Each ten week term is $250. A payment of $250 for Term I holds your space. The remainder can be paid throughout the year.

Other Expenses for the full year:

There will be six one and one-half hour phone conferences during the year, two during each trimester. So, if your long distance rate is more than 5 or 10 cents a minute, you may want to look into a cheaper long distance provider.

The year will complete with a weekend retreat May 30 - June 1, 2008 at the Questhaven Retreat Center in San Marcos, CA in North San Diego . So, please be prepared to pay a room and board fee of $35-$50 a night depending upon your accommodation desires as well as the plane fare. (Obtaining a frequent flyer mile airline credit card is HIGHLY recommended.) Other than the room fee, which is separate, the retreat fee is $130 for Prac I including all meals, snacks, supplies, etc. etc. etc. Since Prac II will have one less dinner at the retreat center than Prac I, the Prac II fee is $110.

Professional Practitioner Studies, Year Two

The Life of a Practitioner

Certificated by United Church of Religious Science

The 30 weeks are divided into 3 10-week terms

Because of possible technical and personal challenges, this class requires a complete commitment to the path of a Practitioner. This class is limited to a certain number of students because of the video conferencing system capabilities.

Tuition and Technology for Practitioner Studies, Year Two

1. Tuition for the full year-long, 90 hour course is $750. Each ten week term is $250. A $250 payment for Term I holds your space. The remainder can be paid throughout the year.

2. Practitioner Two, The Life of a Practitioner, will require real time video conferencing. The technical requirements are:

Hardware:

Apple: A G4 or higher with 1 gigabyte of RAM

OR

PC: Pentium 3 or higher with 1 gigabyte of RAM.

The RAM (random access memory) is VERY important, and if you don't have a gigabyte, it is very cheap to upgrade.

Required: Video webcam with headset. (If you will be taking class in a quiet place, you can get by with a microphone.) The Logitech 961422-0103 webcam is recommended. You can get it at places like Circuit City or CompUSA, etc. for under $100. You will have to load the software that comes with the camera before you connect it.

Software:

IVisit software is required. We are doing a group buy, so it will only cost you $25. As soon as the enrollment period ends, everyone enrolled will be signed up for the premium version of IVisit. Then, I will send you the directions for downloading the software to your computer. Once you have downloaded, you will automatically be registered with the e-mail address I have for you.

Internet:

You will need a high-speed Internet connection, DSL or cable, with at least 768 KBPS upstream and 361 kbps (kilobytes per second) downstream. The higher number of kbps each way, the better it will be for everyone.

It is recommended that your Internet connection be wired. If you are connecting wirelessly, it may or may not work. If you must connect wirelessly, be prepared for your connection to be sporadic and be prepared to use the phone.

3. Extra expenses: Students will attend in-person retreats during Practitioner Studies, Year II.
